Each year the Board of Governors of the Savannah Ocean Exchange selects a new Ocean related Theme for the Exchange. A call for the submission of solutions on the theme is sent out around the world through multiple distribution channels.

• Give their viewpoint and guidance to the solution presenters opening up new opportunities as their work is reviewed across a broader context.
• Select the recipient of the Gulfstream Navigator Award 2012 given to the best solution presented. The award recipient receives $100,000.
• Select the recipient of the WWL Orcelle Award 2012. The award recipient receives $100,000.
• Work together as an informal highly effective team to advance the introduction and adoption of the 2012 solutions around the world. Creating new industries, jobs and recharging economies.

  Gulfstream Navigator Award 2012: Awarded to the Solution that best represents excellence in design and demonstrates the greatest potential for “Leaping Across Industries” to have the greatest positive impact on Economies and Environment.
  Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Orcelle Award 2012: Awarded to the solution that demonstrates the greatest potential for making shipping and logistics more sustainable by advancing zero-emissions marine transport and energy-efficient technologies that are commercial viable.
