Each year individuals and organizations from diverse fields of expertise managing global issues meet in Savannah, GA. Solution creators, businesses, organizations and individuals from around the world submit inspirational solutions to present at The Exchange based on the current year’s theme.

Our Board of Governors selects a new Ocean related theme each year and a call for submission of solutions is sent around the world. The 2013 Theme is: LEAP TO ZERO⁺

Throughout the Exchange invitees network with solution presenters and other attendees discussing applications, opportunities and the global potential of the solutions showcased.

Attendees…

• Provide insight and guidance to solution presenters.
• Select the solution that will receive the Gulfstream Navigator Award 2013, a financial award of $100,000.
• Select the solution that will receive the WWL Orcelle Award 2013, a financial award of $100,000
• Work together for 12 months to advance the adoption of the solutions presented at the Exchange around the world.

We seek proactive, innovative and scalable solutions that accelerate the timline of reaching ZERO⁺

ZERO⁺ (zero plus) is the innovative practice of generating economic growth and increased productivity, while reducing waste and the use of natural resources (resources found in nature and necessary and useful to humans crossing land, air and water.)

Submissions must show the positive impact their solution will have on Our Ocean – directly and / or indirectly.

In 2013 there are two competitive categories. Entrants will choose one of the following categories to compete in:

1. Monetary Awards: Solution Creators in need of financial support can submit solutions to compete to be one of the top 10 solutions selected to present and be showcased at the Solutions Exchange where invited delegates will select the winners of the following financial Awards:Gulfstream Navigator Award $100,000 & Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Orcelle Award $100,000

2. Industry Excellence Awards: Corporations and organizations with proven scalable solutions can submit solutions to compete to be one of three orginizations invited to present at the Solutions Exchange and the top solutions will be invited to provide displays for the exhibit hall.
